Trawlers from Iceland in Barents sea.19,5 million euros in value

This winter some freezer trawlers from Iceland have been going from Iceland to fish in the Barents sea.


Now have five freezer trawlers from Iceland gone and they all have had good trips over there.

most of the fishing they have done is fishing cod.

 Sólborg RE
Sólborg RE came to Iceland with total of 1055 tons and of that was cod 909 tons,

total value was 580 isl million kronas.  that is about 549 isl kr per kilo

This is 4,088 million euros
3,413 million pounds
39,1 million norsk kronas.

36,93 norsk kronas per kilo

 Arnar HU
Arnar HU came also , and he was with 859 tons and of that cod was 740 tons,

total value was 465 million isl krona, and that is about 541 isl kr per kilo

this is 3,27 million euros

 Sólberg ÓF 
Sólberg ÓF came with 860 tons and of that cod was 755 tons.  

total value was about 465 million isl  kronas and that is about 541 is kr per kilo

Örfirisey RE
Then came Örfirisey RE with total of 1112 tons and of that was cod 945 tons,

total value was 625 million isl kronas, and that is about 562 isl kr per kilo

Blængur NK
and last trawler to come to Iceland was Blængur NK.

Blængur NK was with 1175 tons and of that was cod 1005 tons,

total value was 635 million isl kronas, and that is about 540 isl kronas per kilo,

42,7 million  norsk krona

In total these five trawlers have fish 5061 tons
of that is 4354 tons of cod

total value is 2,77 billion isl kronas
That is 19,5 million euros

186,5 million norsk krona


Blængur NK is the oldest of these trawlers, was build in the year 1973, and is the only of these trawlers from Iceland that fish with one trawl.

all the others are fishing with 2 trawls.

Örfirisey RE is now in trip number 2 in Barents sea
