New Klævtind instead for Klævtind I . Glenn now with Stig Inge

Glenn Thomas Madsen has been the owner and captain on  a boat called Klævtind I, and that boat caught for example around 1100 tons of fish in 2022,

early this year the boat hit a reef and sank just outside Andenes in Northern Norway. when the boat was fishing with gilnet.

Glenn Tomas Madsen, the owner and captain of the boat, was saved along with his crew of 6.

and since Glenn lost his boat, I've been regularly sending him messages about what's going on with the boat

instead of Klævtind I.

and very happy to report that Glenn rented a 14.99 meter net boat called Stig Inge N-105-A and is rowing it to catch the cod quota

which he has, about 500 tons of cod.

Glenn took over the Stig Inge early in February 2023, and has been rowing it ever since, landing 284 tons in 28 trips or about 10 tons per row. maximum 23 tons in one landing.

along with this,  Glenn  signed a construction contract with Maritime Copetense in Tromsø, Norway for the construction of the new Klævtind I.,

Old Klævtind was 18.05 meters and 5.8 meters wide

yet the new boat will be 18.4 meters long and 6.6 meters wide. made out of aluminum. and is designed for fishing with a net

Glenn said in an interview with Aflafrettir that he is expected to receive the boat after the end of the year.

Actually, there is about 1800 tons of haddock quota on Klævtind I, and when I asked about this quota

that then Glenn is only going to catch the cod on Stig Inge and then follow the construction of the new boat.

When Klævtind I sank, Guðmundur Bjarni Kristánsson, who is on the net boat Mjasund in Norway, was right by and he took a video of Klævtind I sinking.

and you can watch it HERE

New Klævtind.  that will be finish in year 2024.
