Barent Gadus TF-28-TN- New boat to Piera Gaup in Norway




Shipowner Piera Gaup recently received a new Cleopatra 36 boat from Bátasmiðin Trefjum in Hafnarfjörður.

Piera himself becomes the captain of the boat.


The new boat is called Barent Gadus. The boat is 10.99 meters long and weighs 11 gross tons. The new boat replaces the older Cleopatra 36 boat that the company has operated since 2014.

 
The main engine of the boat is of the type FPT C13 520hp connected to a ZF325IV gear.

The boat is equipped with JRC, Olex and Simrad navigation equipment.

The boat is also equipped with front and rear hydraulically operated side thrusters connected to the boat's autopilot.

The boat is equipped for line and net fishing. Fishing equipment comes from Norway.

The boat holds 15 380 liter fish tanks.


Lifeboat and other safety equipment of the boat comes from Viking.

 
There is a large dining room and fully equipped cooking facilities in the bridge. There is sleeping space for three in hatches. Toilet with shower.

 
The boat is on its way to Norway and is expected to start fishing at the end of June.
